Stress
Relief Ovens
JN
Machinery knows springs. JN Machinery knows furnaces.
And JN knows efficiency. After all, we've amassed over 50
years of experience.
Today, their modern furnaces offer on-line stress relieving
for superior quality and significantly increased productivity.
High-temperature, fast-cycle conveyorized stress relieving
has been proven by the British Spring Institute and the Japanese
Spring Association to provide more uniformity than batch furnaces
and vibrating spiral furnaces. By using JN furnaces right
at the point of operation, heat treatment times can be reduced
from 30 minutes to as little as 2 minutes, depending on spring
design. Specific benefits of the JN Machinery furnaces include:
Improved
quality:
Immediate stress relief means less dimensional variation
and relaxation. The conveyorized belt keeps parts separated
for uniform heating and less distortion.
No
tangling:
Parts are not bunched together, allowing packaging at furnace
exit.
Easy
SPC:
Allows immediate feedback on loads and dimensions.
Portability:
Compact size and swivel casters allow easy movement from
machine to machine.
No labor:
Parts drop directly on the belt from a production machine.
No batch movement to another area is required.
Low
maintenance:
Simple; solid state design allows easy access to all parts
of the furnace.
Reduced set-up time:
No waiting for batch heated samples. Immediate feedback
on dimensions and loads.
Low energy consumption:
JN uses energy efficiently, Nichrome heaters, ceramic fiber
insulation and an insulated belt return provide low energy
use. Pre-heat time only 6 minutes for 625°F.
JN
Machinery also manufactures thermal coloring and rustproofing
systems to be used in conjunction with in-line stress
relieving.
